Personally, I think all your listening to right-wing hate radio has brainwashed you. You are incapable of critical thinking, and instead allow these wingnuts to work your emotions into a frenzy, instead of being able to explore "CRITICALLY" a topic from all sides. It's sad. Listening to this crap; being inundated with the endless, and quite frankly, mind-numbing anti-Obama, anti-Democrat, anti-Liberal, bombast has poisoned your brain. If your only source of alleged "news" is utterly biased and skewed; if you're incapable of fact-checking; if you listen to this drivel endlessly, how can you possibly be capable of original thought? Is it any different than hearing a Moonie or Scientologist or Catholic or Muslim repeat a belief over and over and over and over? At what point are you sucked in? At what point do you fail to engage in your own evaluation, and simply accept everything you're being spoon fed?
By the way, I don't watch Fox or MSNBC. I believe news should be reported without commentary. But, I suppose it's much easier getting the commentary. Then you don't have to think for yourself, or worse yet, investigate. The problem, of course, being having the faculty of mind to filter all the bullshit. Fox and MSNBC are there to make money. They aren't there to report the news. The same thing with most talk radio: Increase ratings, make more advertising dollars. And thus they suck you in. They're quite good at it.

First of all, WHY is a marriage between a man and a woman? Because it always HAS BEEN? Wake the fuck up! Human civilization has evolved. Our understanding of homosexuality has evolved! Why should the definition be constricted on the basis of religion? There was a time when a man could have multiple wives, and in some cultures this is still practiced. So, to believe that marriage ALWAYS HAS BEEN and ALWAYS SHOULD BE defined a certain way is ludicrous. If science shows that homosexuality is a normal variation; and, homosexual relationships are worth supporting and nurturing; and, children raised by gay people turn out as good as or better than children raised by heterosexual couples, what is the rationale for restricting civil marriage to straight couples? Religion? I'm sorry if you slept through your studies of the US Constitution, but the secular Federalists won over the Anti-Federalists who were pissed at the lack of a state religion and the lack of a religious test for office, to name but a couple things they didn't like. We are a secular civil nation. You may worship any space man you see fit, but you don't have any right to impose your space man's laws on the rest of us! Kurt and I have been together almost 22 years. Fuck you if you don't like the fact that six states and the District of Columbia recognize our marriage! It wasn't for show. Our wedding was something so special, and so moving for us, but I don't expect you to understand. I was honored and moved to have my family there celebrating with us. I'm sorry if you don't agree with the state conveying the "contract of marriage" on us. I'm sorry you disagree with our use of the word "marriage.". Had I known you didn't agree with it, I would have saved you the pain of enduring our "civil marriage ceremony" and not invited you. Now I feel you misled me. My marriage is NOT A NON-ISSUE! My life and relationship are not NON-ISSUEs. Maybe for you they are. But not to me. This is my life, and fuck you if you don't understand.
Regarding your accusation that I am a "single issue voter" nothing can be further from the truth. I truly think your right-wing hate radio has utterly destroyed any common sense you may once have had. I don't believe we are less safe or worse off. Considering the fact that Republican Senator Mitch McConnell stated that their PRIMARY GOAL was to make sure Obama was not reelected one has to question Republican commitment to improving this nation. On the contrary, simply for stating this the Republicans have made themselves traitors! Instead of working to decrease unemployment, help small businesses, ensure that healthcare costs are contained and that Americans can access quality healthcare, protect our air and water, provide for our security, help build our infrastructure or work to achieve energy independence they have one fucking goal: To unseat President Obama! This is traitorous! This is reprehensible! And it's truly an indication of how extreme the GOP has become! Instead of working with the President and across the aisle to put Americans back to work, they have obstructed every Bill, and have made it clear that the middle class - the MAJORITY of Americans, are not a concern for them. How for one moment is this acceptable? If you accept this as a priority of government, you are also a traitor!
Under 4 years of the Obama administration, more Al Qaeda operatives have been exterminated than under the 8 years of the Bush administration. And, I would point out that the most liberal of US commentators and activists have opposed Obama in his directives to take out US citizens such as Anwar al Awlaki. So, to say that he is appeasing the liberals of the party is entirely incorrect. He didn't close Guantanamo. He continues to hold prisoners in contradiction to the Geneva Convention of which we are a signatory (if you care anything about the rule of law). He signed the bill pushed through Congress authorizing the military to hold US citizens suspecting of aiding terrorist organizations, which many believe is against Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution. So, to call him out as a left wing demagogue or socialist is highly inaccurate.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was 7,949 when Obama assumed the Presidency. It closed today at 13,333 (which is almost double the value he inherited!). Yeah. He's doing a horrible job managing the economy! Maybe if McConnell cared more about putting Americans back to work than he cares about unseating the President the Dow would be higher!
Personally, I don't see what you see. You're obviously influenced by right-wing nut jobs. Unlike you, I prefer to keep an open mind. I voted for Reagan the first time. Then I learned what a hypocrite he truly was. I also recognize that GOP politics got us into this mess! Anyone who fails to see that is truly retarded.
In closing, I am done here. I will not respond to your further bullshit. You owe me and Kurt an apology. We've been together almost 22 years. You don't like the fact that we are MARRIED, MARRIED, MARRIED, or MARRIED? TOUGH FUCKING SHIT! This is my life. Get used to it, and either support us, or disregard us. I'm not going to suck up to you for approval. My life and my relationship with Kurt are the most important things to me. You can either be a loving, supportive part of us, or disparage my MARRIAGE and contribute to the hateful rhetoric of your idols Romney & Ryan. Your choice. Their hate, or your brother. They support a Constitutional Amendment to undo my relationship, thus if you choose them, you are against me. There's no middle or gray zone here. Should you choose the latter, we are done.
BTW, you underestimate me. I will not turn back. When my very existence, life and honor is at stake I will not let anyone disparage me... especially my own family member.
